Welcome from Pastor Griffin

Friends & Visitors,

In March of 2021, I was called as Pastor of Madison Baptist Church. My wife, Rachel, and I spent nearly our entire lives in Alabama, except for a short stint in North Carolina for my doctoral studies. We have two kids, Rosemary and Walt, who fill our home with joy and love! Both Rachel and I share a passion for the Word of God, discipleship, and global missions.

We came to Madison, GA, because we believe God has called us here with a clear mission and purpose. Above all, that mission is to teach the Word of God and make disciples of Jesus Christ. Our prayer is that God would work in each of our lives that no one can encounter Madison Baptist without encountering people that have been radically changed by the gospel and the power of God!

From the moment we met the people of from Madison Baptist, we were impressed with their hospitality, generosity, kindness, light-hearted community, and commitment to one another.

We would love for you to become part of our family of faith here at MBC. I am convinced that Madison Baptist Church is a great home for men, women, children – families, widows or singles – to grow in their faith. Not only that, you can do so as part of a church that genuinely loves one another. We are committed to loving one another, and committed to investing in children and families so that they are supported as they seek to know and honor Jesus.

We gather each Sunday morning at 10:15 A.M. for worship. During worship, we sing, pray, and hear teaching from God’s Word. It is our conviction that the Bible is the primary thing that God uses to reveal himself to us and shape us into his image as followers of Jesus, so we spend a lot of time looking at it together.

Beyond teaching, we believe that Madison Baptist Church is a place for sinners. It’s a place for the hurting. It’s a place for the tired and distressed. This church is not a museum for the perfect: it is a hospital for the sick. Madison Baptist Church gladly opens her doors and opens her heart for the weary, wounded, weak, and worn. Jesus is a friend of sinners. You don’t have to be somebody to be part of this church—just seeking Jesus and the grace that God provides.

If you’re looking for a church home, please join us for worship. I would be honored to meet you and your family and share more with you about our church and our common faith in Christ.

Please introduce yourself if God leads you to join us for worship, or if you seek to join our church family as a member.

I look forward to seeing you,

Pastor Griffin Gulledge
